Went to SM Mall of Asia yesterday and had a slice of probably the best chocolate cake since I came to the Philippines at a place called, fittingly, Chocolat.
Hailed as "the best chocolate dessert place in the Mall of Asia" (that's what it say on the receipt), the classic deep dark chocolate cake has a rich chocolatey taste without being overpoweringly sweet.
And it's affordable. One slice is only Php43 (about S$1.50) and the whole cake is Php380 (about S$12).
Check out a blog post about the place and the cake.
We live in a world where we are substituting quantity for quality, clutter for information, complexity for intelligence, laborious repetition for due diligence.
